Terms of Service

You must be at least 13, or older where your country requires it, and able to enter a contract. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at TODO@example.com if you think someone else has access.

You keep every right you have in the text, images and links you publish. To run the service we need a narrow licence: permission to store, reproduce, resize and display your content, worldwide and free of charge, purely so your page can be served to visitors and shown in previews and search results. The licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule.

You confirm you have the right to publish what you upload, and that it does not break the Acceptable Use rules.

Handles are first come, first served. Some are reserved because the software needs them. We may reclaim a handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is being used in breach of these terms, and we may reclaim handles from accounts that have been abandoned. A handle is not property and cannot be sold.

LinkPage is free. It is provided as it is, with no guarantee of availability, uptime or preservation of data, and features may change or be withdrawn. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

The Acceptable Use rules are part of these terms. Breaking them is breaking this agreement.

You may delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or remove an account or a page that breaches these terms or the acceptable use rules, that exposes us or our providers to legal risk, or that is being used to harm other people. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

We do not check the destinations people link to and we do not endorse them. Following a link on a page hosted here is at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud. Otherwise, and because the service is free, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing.

These terms are governed by TODO — governing law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will announce material changes in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
